Give-away planned for spring 2010
Follow up project bicycle ambulances in Uganda28 June 2009 Early 2009 FABIO gave out the first bicycle ambulances in Katakwi district (for more details: Bicycle ambulances in Katakwi 2008 - 2009). These bicycle ambulances are saving lifes each week. But many villages are still very remote and have poor access to good health care. In cooperation with ITDP Europe, Cycling out of poverty is raising funds to make it possible for our local partnerorganisation FABIO to give out 50 more bicycle ambulances in this area. With the assistance of more bicycle ambulances in this area these villages can also improve their access to the medical care, aiming to reduce child mortality and maternal mortality. The bicycle alone will improve the mobility of health workers to visit patients more often. This will result in more people being vaccinated and an improvement of HIV/AIDS information. Support this projectIf Cycling out of poverty in cooperation with our local partner organisation FABIO can give out these bicycle ambulances with your support or your company's support, your name will appear on all bicycle ambulances. Your name will also be named in all our communication about this project. With your support we can help a large number of people a step forward. According some of the latest results and data, your support of 7,500 euro will save 50 peoples lifes every week. Your donations, big and small, are highly appreciated.
